Meet your therapist

Michael Duncan

he/him

I am an integrative psychotherapist supporting people to move toward greater wholeness within themselves and to live a fulfilling life. I am located in central Victoria on Dja Dja Wurrung Country, and I currently offer therapy online.

My approach is foundationally person-centred, which means that the therapeutic relationship is informed by who you are and who you want to become. I offer a non-pathologising and trauma-informed perspective on our shared humanity, in which we co-create a relationship which supports you to identify your goals and to discover your personal power - your home.

Therapy is a modern invention in response to the stress created by the modern world. You can think of therapy as adaptive software to help you better operate within the system of the modern world itself. Psychotherapy is a powerful companion within your ecosystem of practises because this software is supportive in developing more fulfilling relationships, boosting inner well-being, and increasing resilience to the challenges of everyday life. Additionally, for those who are ready, psychotherapy can be used as a tool for personal-transformation and growth.

I believe that living life with an ecosystem of practises is a robust way to become the creator of your life. With the addition psychotherapy on your team, you set yourself up well to embody that very real empowered possibility. Whatever you need psychotherapy for, I am here to do my best to support you.
